Kellys Island for Memorial weekend

The winery is open and in great shape. Very clean & great staff. Shuttle service from Scudders Marine to winery. Just ask them to call. Winery has entertainment on weekends. About 6 miles one way from marina to winery. I would recommend reservations. The marina was full last weekend and there were no events scheduled.

The snake population is up dramatically. So much so that they have been delisted as endangered species. Kelley's Island "enjoys" a particularly high concentration of them.

Just as I was getting used to them, I started to noticed increased aggression - they'll actually try to bite dinghies that travel too close! I still have to get used to THAT.
