The new movie "Failure To Launch" is in the theaters now. Its about a boat broker who won't leave home. The best part is there is a local tie in. Last summer, the film crew came to our marina to borrow the marina launch, a 15' Carolina Skif, to be used to ferry crew to and from the beach for a scene they were going to shoot off Cape Henlopen Delaware. They were initally going to shoot the surfing scene in Destin, FL but one of the hurricanes trashed the area so they needed a look alike back drop. Aparrently the Delaware ocean coast looks like Destin. I have not seen the movie yet but have been told that several outside location shots were filmed in a local boatyard. Guess I'll have to splurge and buy a ticket to see the flick.
