Kite Tube

I don't know if you can buy them in the States anymore. I believe there where some injuries and perhaps deaths involving people falling off them from to high a height.

Still looks like fun though. :-)
 
Yep - pulled from the market in the US due to product liability issues. There was one on the lake where I am for a while. It is pretty neat, until it takes you 15-20 feet up, inverts, and slams you into the water. When it inverts, the wing shape that took you up in the air is just as efficient at taking you back down to the water.
 
The video might look like fun but I'm not so sure the guy at the very top of this photo was having any...

I bought one when hey first came out. Worked as advertised. Scary as hell once your about 15 feet up. They were recalled and the company (wego) gave a credit worth about twice what I paid.
 
Its counter intuitive for the boat driver... Letting off the throttle makes them climb then the lack of speed causes them to stall and fall. I watched some very scary looking videos. If you wanted to kill someone in a stupid accident this would be a great way to go.
