So far the weather is looking good for the weekend, what's everyones boating plans.

It looks like we are going to head down to AC on Friday morning.
 
I will try to stay away from the last of the season HA-RA boaters. Most likely enjoy the end of season festivities at the LIYC. But who knows, may end on a raft-up someplace.

The admiral and I are looking very forward to September- October boating and getting into Watch Hill, Sailors Haven and Atlantique.
 
We're staying local...........maybe a little R & R in Hemlock...... dinner at Molly Malones or someplace on the Nautical Mile in Freeport.......a sunset cruise......nothing really planned.

After this weekend...........it should be easy to get into marinas around the South Shore and F/I.
 
We also avoid the "popular" boating destinations on holiday weekends - amateur hour(s) to say the least. Will probably hang out at the marina mostly, if we go out, it will be a cruise to Short Beach in the late afternoon, anchor, watch the sunset. Like Radiowaves, we are looking forward to September and October boating - cooler weather, less boating traffic, etc. We do not have the boat hauled out until the second or third week in November.
 
We thought we had reservations in greenport..... Half of our party does... half doesnt....

So we be screwed...... Configuring Plan B as we speak!

So much for your South Shore vs. North Shore remark on a previous post, Rob. Looks like the North Shore done you wrong............
 
Greenport is on the north fork, not on the north shore.;-)

Hey Rob, have you checked Montauk?
 
Heading offshore to go tuna fishing overnight if the weather cooperates.
 
Unusally quiet today. South Shore, Amity cut to the bridge. Light traffic in the state channel. Another boater asked the same question, where is everyone? Given the great weather, we figured more people would be out. Tobay looked packed, although only a few poepled anchored, including me. I figured I go out today so I would not be tempted this weekend, but since the Fluke season may close and the great weather, I may give it a try.

I'll be heading over to Zach's Bay first thing tomorrow morning. We will just hang out and relax there till monday afternoon. If anyone else is there, stop by & say hello.
 
Staying at the dock this weekend. Staying away fromall the crazy. We are having a dock party and the theme is Pimp your boat. Should be fun. We have a trip planned for next weekend to Mystic. Should also be fun.
 
Currentsea is anchored in Hemlock Cove. Weather is great. Crowded but not as bad as I expected. May spend the night. Someone bring breakfast.
 
We skipped staying over.
Walter cooked us up some burgers at the dock, so we came back!

We ended up going back to American Warf in norwich. Went to the casio again... Hada nice time. Got the snot kicked out of us going back to riverhead today ( monday ) Sadly we go back to merrick next sunday.... Was a nice time up here in REAL water....I could get used to this.

All wish DON well finally going back to work after the entire summer off...... NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't my fault I was out of work all summer......It was all up to my doctor.....Dr. Summeroff.

This is gunna hurt to go back tomorrow...............
 
Just got back today. A real strong head wind all the way from Montauk back home.

I was a little disappointed with the dock help at the Block Island Boat Basin but I have to say that we really enjoyed the place. Very quiet and a good alternative if you don't need a pool.

The Montauk Yacht Club was great. No issues and no complaints.

What a great week.
