Well, first we decided to try to trailer because we weren't getting up there enough, it was about 1:15 from our home (2006), then we had a brand new baby in April (2007) wiping out the second season and this year I just lost my job . . . so not only no slip, but no boating for us this year. We had cash saved to take us well into 2009 before we had to touch investments or other treasured assets, but the wife is totally against getting the boat ready and out this year with gas prices etc. Oh well. I could fight her on it, but we have enough other stress right now with other family stuff (my dad has cancer, some stuff on her side etc.) Easier to let it go for the year.
We do, however, have friends whose boats are floating . . . Luckily, our boat is paid for and it is not a great time to try to sell, so at least the boat is safe for a while.

Terry,
There will always be time for boating later. Family should always come first. You are made the right choice. Good luck with the job hunting and hopefully we will see you back at NorthPoint one season soon.
