Last Trip of the year, we'll be pulling the boat next weekend. Very slow day out of Olcott. Dad and I started in 150 fow and worked out to 220 and in to 130. Temp was real deep, we had 65 deg on surface and 60 down 110'.

Marked lots of fish deep from 100-150 and quite a few above 50, but couldn't get anything to go. Lots of bait on bottom in 135-150 fow as well. Only hit came in 140 fow on a white green dot spinny and hammer fly on a wire diver. Fish hit at 280 feet on the counter as it was creeping out being deployed. Dad got it right to the back of the boat and the hook pulled just as he was lifting to bring it to the net. spinny came up and bounced off my face, luckily didn't get hooked by the fly. Fish was a mid teen king.

After a while we pointed it north and trolled out to 450 or so, picture was better inside but we did mark some fish offshore, but no takers.

Action sucked but it was a beautiful fall day on the lake.

I'm glad someone has a great time on Ontario. Every time we crossed from Oswego to the St. Lawrence we got rocked! As they say a bad day of boating is better than a good day at work, and it sounds like you had a great day of boating making it all that much better!

Another great report Tim. We have been done on Lake O for the year for a while now. Hoping to get on the Chesapeake for some late November striper fishing though. Will probably move the boat into the barn after Thanksgiving.
