Vic,
When adding salt to a Lectra-San in fresh water how much salt is too much?
Raritan's literature says to add a few ounces to the bowl. Is it possible that too much can cause damage to the electrode pack or cause the 60A fuse to blow?
Thanks,
Ronbo

We have friends who have a bowl of salt by the head with a fancy spoon in it.
They ask of everyone who uses it to use one spoon full for each flush.

The Lectra/San system has a fused circuit for the electrode pack. If you add too much salt, the fuse will blow. No other "bad things" will happen if you add too much salt.

But to answer your question, it depends on how much water is flushed by the toilet at a time. If you flush 1/2 gallon of water (average flush), you'll need 2 oz. of table salt per flush. If you flush a gallon of water per flush (long flush), you'll need 4 oz. of salt per flush.
