Spending the first night of the season on the boat. Lets hope its the first of many enjoyable nights!

Hopefully, next weekend, for us...

Although it was nice to be back on the boat in the water!

Good luck with the new season up there! At least Winter wasn't as bad as last year! It may linger a bit but once you're in, the worst of it is over.

I'm hoping to spend a little time on board tomorrow. I launch and docked it but that's about all so far. The weather has been pretty crappy since I got in lets hope this will chance soon and the season will be full of great weather and trouble free weekends.

It's been a couple of weeks and I find myself still tinkering and cleaning the boat I have yet to leave the dock but I hoping maybe either during the week on next weekend I will venture past the seawall. I have been meeting lots on nice people from the marina several that read this forum but I'm not sure if they post. I'm looking forward to the season kicking into high gear and seeing many of you out on the water.

It was too windy this weekend to do much boating. Today there were whitecaps on the river. Some big gusts mixed in.

Day was nice though, my arms are killing me.

Got the cover and frame off the boat on Friday. Still many projects to go before the fun can begin.

Windy is an understatement I can't remember having so much wind for an entire weekend. I jokingly complained to the office and asked if they could turn off the wind. I would not have wanted to try docking in those conditions!

Rommer glad to hear you have gotten started! I seems late but I have never been in these early the weather has been crazy this year.

Stayed on the boat from Thursday till this morning. Was windy as heck so there was no fishing but did manage to get a lot of projects finished. However the weekend was did not go without a hitch. Caryl was cooking easter dinner and the oven and stove stopped working. had power to light but burners were out. Fortunitly we finished dinner on the grill. After dinner we pulled the oven and finally found a fusiable link that gave way. Have to wait till this afternoon to call Force10 to see if we can get a replacement. Other than that it was a great weekend! Hope everyone had a great easter and passover!

Went down Saturday, it was like a family reunion. Lots of people starting to get ready.

Covers off, list of todo's created, and that's about it.

I'm hoping to be in by May 1st.

There have been plenty of whitecaps in the river for the past week!

May 1st? I've been in for weeks already:)

So how is the family, I know of at least 7 members that left the dock. That's got to be close to a quarter of the dock.

BTW there are still some slips left at Haverstraw. They have been very attentive to everything but they just couldn't turn off the wind even though I put in a work order.

Did you pay them?

I asked them before I brought it and they said it wasn't a problem. Rommer I have nothing but nice things to say about them! They have gone out of there way to be accommodating, they even pulled an old piling that was in my slip but no longer served any purpose. This pole was the only thing wrong with the slip I was thrilled to find it missing when I showed up the season.

It cost more but so far I would have to say it's worth it just for the water alone. Anybody want to pay a tide watch:)

I have nothing against Haverstraw, they run a decent marina. That was a tongue in cheek joke that you will learn about as time goes by.

The family is doing fine. We'll see how the season goes, I'm just looking forward to getting in the water and relaxing. I'll have to stop by Haverstraw and check out the new diggs.

Mike stop by but be warned, it's like the Hotel California you can check in anytime you like but you can never leave:) Wait that was SPBM unless it was high tide.

Well hopefully your boat doesn't spontaneously combust.

I figure it would cost me $1180+ more to go to Haverstraw, not worth it in my eyes.

The figure is probably about right but I have to disagree as to it being worth it. I don't think it is worth having a boat that you need to plan around the tides to use. I'm tired of planning guests around the tide chart and having the show up a few minute late only to be stuck at the dock. I like the idea of being able to come and go on a whim without spending $1200 to recondition my props the way I see it I'm saving $20:)
