I have a Crusader 454 that has resently begun (as in on the way into the marina today) to make a lifter noise.
I am having the mechanic take a look at it this tomorrow. Can anyone give me an estimate regarding this repair such as how much money is involved?
Is this something that can be resolved with oil additives? The brother of my mechanic (they own the marina together and both have been in the business for well over 50 years), says that they sometimes find an additive works to resolve a sticky lifter...
Anyone have any info to calm me until I hear from the mechanic??
