Light Bulb Help

I'm trying to find a replacement bulb for my starboard nav light (1980 Mariner 3396). I've been trying to find it at various auto part and hardware stores but no luck. The thing is so old that there are no numbers visible on it, so I can't search online. Does anyone happen to know the bulb number?

Any chance you can post a picture of subject nav light but especially bulb? That would be a big help.

Your Port light must be the same? Maybe there is a number on that bulb?

Probably a Perko #71 bulb, but I'm not sure they used a Perko system back then

Are you sure the bulb is burnt out?...I thought mine was burnt, but it just needed to be cleaned up on the contacts with a bit of wet sandpaper...

Even if it's just the contacts he should have a spare onboard anyway?

If it is a long bulb with metal contacts at each end they might be made by Aqua Signal. My boat is a 1985 Carver and uses the Aqua Signal series 25. The link below will show a picture to see if yours are the same.

If the picture is right the bulb is AQUA SIGNAL #40-90400200

It's been a really busy week, and I haven't kept up on this - but I found the bulb! Actually, a friend of mine from the marina was sitting having a beer on my boat and I was mentioning my problem with finding it. He went on his boat an brought out a box of various bulbs, picked one out and handed it to me. It was exactly what I needed! So, for future reference the nav lights on a 1980 3396 are Ancor part number 500090. Nice to have a friend like that!
