Local Hero Lost

Rob: I, too, add my condolences to you, your family, and your son's family at this time of loss. Thank you all for his service to our country. And, no, you are not 'off-topic'; your family and your son's family are part of our Long Island family. Bless you all. Hy

Rob,

August 9, 2005 I lost my son at the age of 23 years, 357 days. There is no way the describe the depth of the pain nor are there any words to ease it. My heart aches for you out of pure empathy.

Should you feel the need to talk to one who is there with you, in the same situation, leave me a pm or email with a number and I will give you a call.

I am so very sorry to read of your loss.

Bob

Very sorry for your terrible loss. I couldn't begin to imagine what you and your family must be going through.

Thank you all for the kind words of support. When I see how saddened others are over the loss of my son, it makes me realize that they are all carrying some of the pain for me. When I think of that, it helps to know that others are helping me carry that pain.

We were fortunate to have a wonderful son for 25 years. We miss him dearly, but are trying to focus on the blessing we had while he was with us.
