I am interested if the following path from Massapequa to Zachs Bay is easy to navigate and deep enough for a 26' boat. The path is: West through Amity Channel...around southern portion of North Line Island...south between Green Island and South Line Island...east through Sloop Channel. Although there are markers on the map, it seems skinny in some areas. If it is navigable for a novice boater, what is the speed limit?
I know there is a more direct path via the Amityville Cut through the state boat channel to Zachs, but was interested if the above path was viable to change the scenery on the return trip. Also what is the speed limit in the channel from ToBay to Zachs Bay?
