Also there is a nice marina in the Hudson, I think it is called Half Moon Bay; once again, the numbers just don’t make sense.
Yep, that's right near me, about 1 mile from my house. I'm glad you took a look and came to the same conclusion (it's not just me!). If the numbers made sense, I'd buy one too. However, they simply don't. I'm thinking if there really is a real estate burst, usually condos fall first...I'd expect a boat condo to fall before a house condo. Walter, if I see anything that looks reasonable as an investment in HMB, I'll keep you in mind. As it is, I stop by once in a while and check their board...still way overpriced!

Guard will probably let you in. He is not always in his shack. If he is there, stop. If not, just drive in. If he asks what your doing, just say you are checking the place out. If you look normal, he won't care. If it's during the week and office is open, you can say you are going to see Joelle. He does stop people towing boats out or if you have a big truck, etc. If you want to check it out, I can meet you there one weekend and show you around. You can see alot of the place on marinas.com. They have some great shots of the marina. The satellite photos on google are good too.

Marcgin: There is a small marina in Bayshore called Seaborn Marina. The person to speak with is Gary. Jean answer the phone and she is very nice and helpful. He gets $100.00/foot. You must have his mechanics only work on you boat if you are there. Cannot bring in any outsiders. I like the place. It is a working boatyard but kept very neat and clean. Right across the canal from Molly Malone's a local tavern hang out. I think he may have a few slips that might fit your boat. I can't find his number but they are listed. You should check it out. Anchorage is definitely nice and a lot of nice people there. I just left SS3 in Lindenhurst this season. It really is a nice place and the boating neighbors there are very nice people. I decided though that since most of my boating is done east of the RMC I would take a slip east so I went to Oakdale Yacht Club to give it a try for one season.

How big is the slip and how much do you want for it? Are you looking to rent it for just one season, or will it be available for the next couple of years?
I have a friend with a 32 Carver that has a 12' beam who is looking for a new home. I can pass the info along to him.
