Loopfest

Never heard about it. Maybe if they did it in summer there would be a better turnout. And the high winds didn't help matters any either. I was planning on taking the boat out this weekend, but took one look at the wind and decided to stay in.
 
I think the idea is to kickstart the season and get people to check out the marinas and restaurants on the Loop. The new sports bar that took the place of the Lighthouse is pretty good but I had to ask them to put sports on the tv in place of the infomercial.

So that Mexican restaurant that was there last year is gone? What's the name of the place?
 
It's either Joes Bar and Grill or Joes Sportsbar. I believe it was opened by the same folks running Happy Harbor and Moore's Riverboat.
 
Yes, it is a dud. We gave it a chance twice and a third wasn't worth it. Just my two cents.
