A friend of mine with a Carver 36SS has a loose port side forward spring cleat. The back side of the cleat is in the head behind the medicine cabinet. (pic below) We can't figure out how to get at it to tighten without cutting an access. There are no visible screws etc to remove a panel. Ken, or anybody else have any suggestions?

Your help is appreciated.

...or cut out and install one of those round access ports

looks like that cabinet needs to come out.

We thought so as well however we can't find any fasteners to even remove the cabinet.

Anyone have an idea where those would be?

I'm guessing you'll have to cut through and create the access, probably better than ripping the whole cabinet off. I had a loose starn cleat on the Doral, and the only way to get to it was to cut through the gunwale itself, I never did it and just left it.

Do not cut nothing just do some research or even call the carver dealer they might give you some information.
