While adjusting idle on my 454 inboards, I discovered a screw holding a part called a "Hanger" at the top of the carb was almost completely out.(Starboard engine only). The hanger holds a part called a "Metering Screw,Secondary" in place.
Can anyone tell me how this would affect the operation of the engine? I have tightened the screw and the engine runs smooth but I haven't taken the boat out yet. Glad the screw wasn't sucked into the engine.
