Hello, All

I have a 87 Johnson 60 VRO, during an outing on sunday I expierienced a loss of high-end speed when the throttle was opened up. This was immediately after crossing a wake (rather roughly/bumpy).

I know my throttle is aged (read: not yet in need of replacement, but not new either), but wanted to know if possibly the trottle cable slipped.

I see a throttle cable tension adjustment knob - but before I start turning any dials, I wanted to secure some advice first.

There was no noticible change in engine performance - other than not having the top-end speed that the boat is capable of.

Any ideas / advice would be greatly appreciated, as I'd like to try myself before I go to a mechanic

(it's the $$$ factor)

Thanks in advance, Carl G.
