Lost isle

Much has been written about this infamous place on our delta but, if you will pardon me, I have one more question. We came by there the other day and there was all sorts of activity going on there. Constuction guys, electric saws, hammering and a crew of folks building something. It was over run with water hyacinth and sort of unkept looking but something was going on.......anybody know anything

They are doing a major renovation on it and reopening next year supposedly. Lots of county government red tape has kept them closed the past couple years, but I think they must have paid off the right people. That's how things work in central valley politics. Or anywhere else for that matter.

Great place in the old days--although at my age I probably won't go when it reopens but I like the idea that all of the drunks are in one place instead of spreading them out all over the Delta. Let them open!!
