Have a friend that has a heavy (28,000#) 38' all fiberglass boat with twin FWC Crusader 454's. All four temp. gauges (bridge & cockpit controls)read between 120ВєF & 130ВєF. I'm guessing there are no thermostats in either engine to run that cool. He doesn't seem concerned & I think happy that they are so cool. I'm a shade tree mechanic & believe that engines are not running at optimum performance because of the low temps. With the price of gas would running temps of say 170ВєF offer any significant improvement in GPH?
