Searching for anyone with a older Luhrs boat. I recently bought a 92 3420 convertible its currently at Chesnutneck Marina having the fuel tank replaced . Thinking about updating interior and wanted to see if anyone has photos of the process . Has anybody had to replace there fuel tank ? What did it run you ? Any info. would be great .
 
Where is that marina located? I've never heard of it.
 
The marina sits above and in from Atlantic City. Nice marina , from what I've heard and seen great location for boats up to 28' . The boat will be taken down to All Seasons Marina in late March or early April .
 
Tagguy, I have a Mainship 40 Sedan Bridge my tank sits under the Salon is that where your tank is located? I think 92-93 Luhrs bought and made Mainships in the same factory. We thought we needed to replace our tank 2 seasons ago but it ended up being a separated/broken deck fill. I was quoted almost $20k to replace the tank and re-build the interior. Almost the entire galley and salon is the area my tank takes up. My boat is also V drives. I am really wondering if the boats are similar?

I have a 1991 3420my same as a conv, my tank is under the cockpit floor so im sure yours is also. I love the layout and would only change the orig seating area above the stbd motor. I hope my tank lasts ALOT longer than yours.
 
Realrez my tank is under the Salon floor as I mentioned it is high and dry but you never know. I dread the day mine needs to be replaced, the dinette, half the galley and the entire salon must come out, then the rear double glass sliding door has to come out ouch! Bill
