The admiral and I will be boating up in the area, and stopping at the Chesapeake Inn in Chesapeake City for lunch tomorrow...probably around 12:30 or 1 p.m.-ish. Anyone want to meet-up, let us know. Send a pm tonight or tomorrow by 9:30 a.m.
 
Glenn, where do you keep the boat that you make that trip so often?
 
This summer, we're in the dry stack at Anchor Marina in North East. We're giving the Potomac a rest this year, and changing scenery. Also, we know a lot of the boaters and have several friends in the northern bay area.

Probably taking boat back to South FL in the fall.

For the northern bay area, we like the Chesapeake Inn, as it is one of the few waterfront places that has a decent selection of food other than crabs. We don't eat crabs, and most waterside places seem to be mostly about the crabs. Also, the Chesapeake Inn has some good live music.
 
You don't eat crabs? What is wrong with you? :-)
 
Well, we have a prior committment in PA this weekend... Mom's 89th birthday... so we'll miss the lunch.
 
Too many storms this weekend for us to head that far north.

Perhaps we can all still make this Still Pond meet-up work. I'll see if I can't bump that thread in the coming weeks when we're headed up that way. It might be September though.
 
Well, we got lots of pop-up storms. We waited one out while at the Chesapeake Inn. Checked the radar on the Droid-X, and saw a big one coming from Baltimore. It was slow moving so we made a run for it back to North East. We beat out that one with time to spare. Pushed the throttles a bit and cruised at about 38 coming back. We usually cruise around 32-33.

It's raining pretty good now, but we're nice and dry inside now at Holiday Inn Express in North East. Might head back out tonight (by car) to the Ches Inn for the live music.

Sunday looks like a washout, so we'll just head back home tomorrow after checking out of the hotel.

Im not fond of crabs and I'm somewhat (but not deathly) allergic to them. The Admiral just doesn't like 'em.
 
Mikee and Kurt -

One of these days, we'll get to meet up.
Janet and I know something like 40-50 boaters in the northern bay, but we have yet to meet you two guys.
