Are the fireworks going to be on Monday night July 4? Occasionally they have had the fireworks show the night before the 4th.

Just went by there yesterday on the way to lunch, and the sign says July 4, 2011.

It looks like it is going to be a nearly moonless night, so watching people leave after the show may be as much fun as the fireworks.
 
Dang, I was hoping they'd shoot them off on Sunday so I didn't have to take an extra day off. We will be out there anchored up, if anyone from the forum would like to join us, drop me an email at dwitte at matrixhginc dot com
 
Dave, Meg and I will make a drive-by on our way to Mildred's for the night, safely away from the crowds and confusion. We'll listen to the mayhem over the radio.

Hope to get out there on Sunday for a 2-3 nighter. If you decide to break out, we'd enjoy an evening at Mildred's with you.

How about you, dvan...are you and Mary coming out? Anyone else?
 
I always preferred watching from Mildred the best. Have a great time Al!
 
Agree - Mildred is Safer
This will be the first year in a long time that I won't be anchored there
 
We've anchored on the west side of Mandevile Tip the last few years. It can be windy, but you still get a great view of the fireworks, there are no bugs and it is much, much calmer than the east side.

Al,

Mandeville's only as wild as you want it to be. It has calmed down a lot over the years and is now pretty tame. We'd love for you and Meg to join us. Please come by and see us and stay if you'd like. We might also come visit by dinghy if you don't.
