Mantaloking

Just saw aerial footage of the barrier island near the Mantoloking bridge. Water has cut across the island in two places and is flowing into the bay.

Got a Link? I have a friend right over there. She said things are bad but communication is sporadic, so I am unable to get a full report.

It was on TV, Fox5 news. It looks REALLY bad.

Wow. They are going to have to move a mountain to make that bridge useable again.

IN Laws had a boat there - gone.
Famouse F-cove from Jersey Shore is in the upper far right.
James Gandolfini had a house in those pics
Have a friend who lost a house on the beach.

BTW - the pic on the left is the old bridge, right is the new bridge, not sure if its really washed out - like gone - as it appears.

years ago, between seaside & mantaloking area there was an inlet called the Cranberry Inlet. maybe its trying to come back
