Marina's Closing

The view and the amount of property is impressive, a lot of potential - even if you demo the house and build new. Although looking at a sat photo no floating docks or poles can be found could be a reason? Not looking for another high ranch, we have one now and are in the process of tearing down and adding on to build a colonial/split but we have about had it with the TOH. Taxes too are nuts but that is all of LI Nassau and Suffolk.

Does Suffolk county have property data on the web like Nassau County(mynassauproperty dot com)?

Danno, it's very rare to see floating docks around here, there's not enough tide swing to need them.

Rob,
I run a customer service firm out of the Brooklyn Army Terminal. Relative to this discussion, my commute from Nassau on the Belt $uck$ already so no matter how nice the house, no way am I moving east. :-)

Anyway, I'm heading in to the marina office today to try to get some information about my renewal. Hopefully, I'll know if I need to be serious about looking for another spot for next season.

Mark I used to do that commute every day and take the ferry into downtown. Form the south Shore that run is not bad but I would not hit the belt till JFK, after the conduit exit it was a real pleasure, under an hour door to parking lot.

I bagged the ferry 6 months ago and just drive downtown now and I do not take the Belt in but I still make it in 1.25 hr door to door. The return is another story, but I head to an office in Bklyn most nights anyway so the Belt home is after 9pm

I usually hit it later in the morning but it is hit and miss. Amazing that the DOT fills potholes or picks up trash before 9am. One tar truck and everything behind is a mess.

Sorry to get so far off topic.
