Same drill in Miami and FTL at the county level. We re not supposed to go out but most marinas are looking the other way, we ve been going out. Friends of mine have their boat in a county marina and they can’t go out or else contract will be cancelled. Plain stupid as people who have their boat behind their homes go out as they want.
Governor Cuomo has issued updated guidelines surrounding the classification of non-essential businesses. Golf courses and recreational marinas have now been deemed non-essential.
Just curious about the word "recreational" here. Is that an important distinction? A loophole, perhaps? I just can't see how the marina where you moor or dock your boat is a problem if proper protocols are followed.
In Lee County, FL and most of FL, we can still go boating. You can't get much farther from people than that. Certainly farther from people than a city sidewalk. No boat parties or big crowds are allowed on the boat, of course. Most seem to be doing the right thing, and keeping it to just "same household" members only on each boat.
In Ontario all marinas are closed with an exception for liveaboards.
I am one of two vessels on a 56 slip dockominium.
Social distancing at it's finest.
I have let our local marine police know that I am available as their own boat has not been launched.
Same here in IL. This is how they are going to lose people’s cooperation. Under normal circumstances I go to my boat to social distance from people. Now I can’t even get close to my fkg property.
My boats are docked in front of my house. No issue for me. Concern here is some local marina customers live in heavier effected areas. They shop in our stores and tend to congregate in large groups on the docks. Local economy needs their money bust risk of spread is higher. I see both sides.

I got my boat prepped and moved it to CT where I'm still allowed to use it.
I moved on Sunday and already been there both Monday in the storm and today in the sun!
