since I launched my boat I have been having trouble with one of my AC controllers I have two units both use the same keypad if I swap the keypads both of the units work perfectly unfortunately I can't seem to find a replacement. My keypad is the older version with the small penguin and the flat wide cable not the one that looks like a data plug. If anyone knows where to find one please let me know.

I have been trying to find this keypad for weeks I have searched high and low on line and today I stumbled on a site that not only has new ones in stock in black but can have them in white in a week. $275 is what he quoted me it lists for $4xx. I'm waiting to hear back from someone who has a used one for about $100 I may save a few bucks and go this route but at least I have a backup plan!

Thanks for digging this out, Dave. I have been looking a a new digital control for my Cruiseaire and these people have them at a very reasonable price.

Glad I could help it wasn't easy I have been looking for the last few weeks, what's funny is I gave up and started this thread then gave it one last try and they came up fairly easily maybe the updated their site or something.

I have been looking for the "ECU" version for a while. I see them on eBay occasionally but the price is usually too high for a used part of unknown origin. Is the price you got for the key pad and the circuit board or just the key pad?

The price I got was just for the keypad there are 4 or 5 models of the ECU mine is the Maxx which is still available some others are not in which case they make a retro kit to adapted it to work. My circuit board is working so there is no reason to replace it.
 
My up and down arrows work sporadically so I try to leave it at a constant temp. I get a fault code when I push them. Is there an easy way to test the keyboard or circuit board?

Being I have two systems onboard it was easy for me to swap the keypads and it was clear my problems moved with the keypad.
It sounds odd that you would get an error code what code do you get? My keypad is just unresponsive and the system stays in whatever mode it was left in. If I take the working keypad and set the mode and temp then power down the system and swap keypads and power back up the system will remain on whatever I set it to with the good keypad.

Maybe you can find someone with the same unit and ask to borrow their keypad to trouble shoot your system. Make sure you power down the system before unplugging the keypads you don't what to burn out someone else's keypad as well. Good luck!
 
Not really related to this post, but the reason m.tampabaymarineair.com showed up in Google when it did not in the past is that the "m" indicates it is a mobile device friendly site (and it is) and Google recently changed their search engine to give precedence to mobile friendly sites.
 
Interesting did they do this in the last couple of weeks?

Mine is doing the same as yours. If I screw around with it too much I get the error code. I don't remember what it is. I do have two units on board so I will switch the keypads and see what happens.
