I got the impression you felt I could do better on the price and frankly I searched to find the board at all and the price was better then I expended but again if you have any insight on where to locate for less please let me know. This is a discontinued model and parts are not cheap!

That joint looks (it's really hard to tell from a photo) that it may have failed from overheating. That would be from too much current.

I'm just suggesting that you look for the reason it failed so it doesn't fail again. Of course it may have been defective from the factory.

Ron I suspect that you are correct in the assumption that is over headed there are any number of reasons for over current. I will also assume this didn't happen all at once and that is was a slow process over the many years in has been in service. I'm reading a higher then normal voltage at dock pushing 128-130. I will keep an eye on the voltage as more people are using you a/c units and see what the effect it has. I would be ok if it lasts another 16 years before I need to repair it again. When I finish my generator repair I will check the voltage as well however I haven't run this unit on the generator this year as of yet this was the first time I was spending a night out and it didn't work so it's more likely a dock power issue if anything.
