We have 3 stumps just outside of our marina, about 200-300 yards. We always idle through this area.
We have studied them and memorized where they are though at an extreme high tide they disappear. You 'think' you know where they are but you never know. Our dock mates bumped one this weekend and they are now leaking stern drive oil. We go slow and so do they. Bass boats fly threw this area. I am not sure how they miss these stumps.
I was thinking about jumping in the water and markign them. I can't come up with a good way of doing this though. Some sort of poleflag combo or somethign else.
