Our owner is just getting back from Miami tomorrow, so I'll get all the info then, but in the meantime, both boats have been added to the Marquis website.

On the Marquis 50, did they do anything about the Helm Station's Head Room? I took a test drive on the 40SC and found it too confining when you try & stand?

I haven't seen it in person yet Art, but by the pics I've seen...looks like there's more. The 70 TriDeck DEFINATELY has stand up room!

I see that 70 & I'll bet it grand but you'd need a crew. Year before last I was considering trading up to the 65 Marquis if I could find a good used deal with the MTU engines? Now, I'm looking to trade down to a smaller size? A 40-50 should be about right. Mostly it's just my wife & I & 60-ft is too much. I end up out alone or looking for a few extra hands. Smaller would be easier right now.

Art.

The 50SC has triple IPS 500 or 600 engines, maneuverability will be awesome. and it still has the folding aft door of the 40 to open up the salon to the aft deck. Huge sunroof with power shades is standard, and the transom seat slides back as well. 3 stateroom layout looks roomy in the pics, and the helm is on the port side. Looks from the pics that the helm floor isn't elevated (as much?) as the 40s so standing looks more plausable.

I wish I had seen this thread a few hours ago. This afternoon I boarded the 40, and then walked past the 50 to board the 70. I have to say that the 50 would have to be a LOT different than the 40 for there to be head room. The 40 doesn't have that much headroom even when seated.

The 70 is impressive. Even at the tail end of the MBS though, I have to admit that it was intimidating to walk through the boat bumping into a guy and his wife who had just bought it (or another one, I'm not sure).

The 50 and 70 both did real well at the show...we have a 50 on order for a guy here and a 70 due to be finalized this week for order. The 50 (and 40 for that matter) were designed so if you want to stand while docking, you stand in the middle of the boat (right by the joystick that you use and not the wheel which you don't) and this gives you a very good 360 degree view whilst docking. Or...if you're tall like me, you open the huge sunroof and stand up through it and look over the boat to the bow, but I really don't see an issue with the way it's made
