Hi,
Does anybody have any experience with Masterflush toilets?

I was going to buy a Vacuflush setup through a very reputable local Vacuflush dealer and he actually suggested Masterflush macerating toilet over the Vacuflush setup. He said that, if water usage is not a big problem he would prefer Masterflush toilets because of the built quality and an almost total lack of noise. They are built in Sweden and are distributed by Dometic. The cost is a little less than Vacuflush complete setup.

Any help would be appreciated; particularly compared to Tecma toilets which seem to be similarly built but cost 2/3 of Masterflush.

Thanks,
David

A friend of mine is a VacuFlush dealer and installer, and he demonstrated the Masterflush to me at a Boat Show a while back. He wasn't all that keen on it, and I thought it seemed to be a little on the wimpy side. That being said, I didn't see anything other than water being flushed through it, so it might possibly be better than it seemed.

If you're looking for a toilet that's less expensive than the VacuFlush or Techma, take a look at the pressurized fresh water-flushing Raritan SeaEra - IMHO it's the best bang for the buck available, and it's quieter than your toilet at home. (The raw water version is a fair amount noisier but works just as well.)

#160HF012 or 160HF912 - SeaEra, household size bowl and seat, pressurized fresh water flushing, 12 volt ("0" = a straight discharge fitting, pointing to the right as you view the toilet; "9" = a 90 degree elbow discharge fitting, also on the right, that can be swiveled, down, back, up, or wherever).

Installed a Masterflush last year, and it worked fine, but used too much water throwing off the balance between holding tank size and cruising duration.

Going back to vacuflush.

Has anyone here replaced a Jabsco manual pump head with the SeaEra? I'm looking at my options for one in a Regal 402.

Okark340, there were a couple of postings about this on the Bayliner Owner's Club Forum, but they've recently changed software and it has a whole new look to it. It seems that in the process of the changeover, some of those older postings were lost. They were in the section called "Projects." But if you come back and review the new postings on this thread from time to time, I'm sure someone'll check in and update us on when and how they did it. There have been LOTS of manual Jabsco to SeaEra electric conversions done.

Thanks Vic. I've got a posting on the Regal Owners Club Lounge too. I think I'm going to go ahead and rebuild the manual head thats in it and continue to research which conversion I want to do maybe next season.
