I was trying to replace a few strips of laminate flooring that buckled in my Gally under the freezer area. (due to power outage at the dock ice melted & leaked out resulted in damage to a few strips of flooring)I couldn't find the matching floor? I now know why. Carver used a Formica Brand Laminate Flooring in a Cherry color. Speaking with Formica, they discontinued that entire line of products in N. America. I have a few flooring suppliers looking for alternatives. I was going to replace the laminate flooring with Granite Tile but it appears that I'd lock the frig & freezer in place with the height of the lip I'd have to create. Murphy's Law says that the very moment I'd finish the Granite Floor the Freezer would need to be replaced...Yeah, I know Murphy & he's not catching me :)

Carver now uses granite in the large Voyagers. However, in their smaller yachts, they use a vinyl flooring which looks like wood but doesn't deteriorate like it. you might check one out at Staten Island Yacht Sales...I'm sure they have a Carver or two in stock

Kenny, any chance you would you know the brand of Vinyl Flooring? I could check it out online.

Let me get in touch with ouor parts rep and see if she can tell me.

Update: the computer does not say what brand it is, but they get it through their local hardware store. It is available thru your Carver dealer for approx. $7.25/sq.ft. It would probably have to be ordered...lemme know if I can help.

Kenny, good to know. Thanks for the help. If I can't get it local I'll write. I want to see it first.

Like I said...I would imagine that Staten Island has at least one boat in stock with it.

Art...Found more info on the flooring...it's made by Carpet One. Hope that helps.

Amtico is one brand that's used on many boats, looks like the real thing...
