Mayberry

Speaking of junky barges and Mayberry, anybody noticed the barges recently parked over by Point Beenar? I floated out there a few weeks ago, it looks like a warehouse built on a barge.

I haven't been down that far in about a year. I'll check it out the next time I make a run towards Pittsburgh. I like to run into the salt water a couple of times each summer to get all the algae cleared off below the waterline.

Is that Contra Costa County? If so, they won't be there very long!

I forgot about that ... we were down there a few weeks ago and we saw those boats. From a distance, through binoculars, they didn't look to be in too bad a shape. Maybe up close they're in rough shape but I wasn't aware they were derelicts. Tow 'em to Mayberry!

When you go down there, be sure to stop in and pay a visit to all the fine folks in Mayberry.

I've heard a lot about Mayberry slough but never been there. Anyone got any pictures that could be posted?

I'll try to remember to snap a couple next time I'm out, with the hot weather this week I'm gonna try and get on the water this weekend.
