My Seloc shows that there is a tiny Fram in-line filter where the fuel enters the 1994 Merc 454 7.4L carburator. I looked at both my engines and it looks as if it should house a filter and spring, but there is nothing.
My dock neighbor has the same engines and he changes his filters regularly, but he says that he heard that they are not needed in this engine.
Anybody know more about those filters?
