I am having a problem lowering my Mercruiser 3.0l outdrive on a 1988 Chris Craft 19' cuddy cabin. I push the 'bow down' button on the throttle, the hydraulic pump whirrs and makes noise, but the outdrive does not lower. The trailer button also makes the pump make noise, but no apparent movement up, but I think the unit is raised to maximum anyway.
Am I missing something obvious? Why would the outdrive not lower (the boat is on the trailer).
