Mercruiser prop size and WOT

1988 4.3LX, Alpha 1 on a 19' bowrider with newbie power boater In an effort to get a better hole shot for skiing and wakeboarding, I changed out the stock (?) 14x21 prop to a 14x19. It did the job nicely, but the WOT now goes north of 5,400 RPMs if I let it. (Merc lists WOT target range at 4,400 - 4,800 RPMs) My question is this: I use the boat on a small lake for water sports and low speed crusing. I rarely take the engine above 4,000 RPMs (with the new prop). Am I doing any damage by using the 14x19 at the lower RPM range?
