Unfortunately my engine had to be pulled for some repair and service(long,sad expensive story.....)
. I am having a local machine shop do the work. They pulled the engine but left the outdrive mated to boat. The shop owner is going to reinstall the engine without removing the outdrive. Do I need to pull the outdrive and realign the gimble/outdrive/engine? I do have an alignment tool and spare outdrive gaskets but am really not sure if I need to recheck or realign. Any insight or advice appreciated.
I have thru hull wet exhaust so I can not hear any bearing whine(or much of anything else besides the throaty roar of the 5.7)[:-devil] when running so that sort of test is out......
