I was quoted a price of a Mercruiser 8.1 375HP. It's sold with the wonderful 1 year warranty through Mercruiser, but considered used.
Apparently these are buy backs by Mercruiser from boat manufacturers, and then sold to dealers. They could just be a year old and thus can't be put in a new boat of the current year, or something more serious - like a rebuild from a new boat, etc....
The price for the used one was about $3000 less than a new one. Does anyone have any experience with such engines?
