Mercury Exhaust bellows replacement

Recently did the whole lower end replacement - gimbal, trim sending units , bellows etc. after completed lifted the lower unit and the next day the exhaust bellows had come loose from the lower unit - bad design, no lip to hold bellows -Is there a way I can put it back on without dropping the outdrive agian? Bellows cement just wasn't enough to hold
