Metro Beach Boat Show

[Split Decision]

I had the pleasure of meeting a couple of guys from BoaterEd while docking at Portside Marina on Kelly's Island in Lake Erie this past July.

During our conversation the Metro Beach Boat Show that is held at Metro Beach Metro Park, Mt.Clemens Michigan (Lake St.Clair) was discussed.

I mentioned that I would post the dates of this show in case anyone from Lake Erie or Lake St.Clair would be interested in boating over to take in this show. There is transient docking available at the back finger docks.

The Metro boat Show is a in water show with boats ranging in size up to around the 50 foot range from a number of differnet manufactures.

We will plan to boat over to take in the show.

The show dates are September 17 - 21, 2008.

Unfourtuanly, the Metro Show has gone down hill.
they need to do somethings like a kids zone, a beer tent, etc... its a shame, but thats the economy and Metro charges alot for them to bring boats in. i expect the show to be small this year. at least they do have used boats to look at.
maybe we'll hook up during the show, i only live practically next door to there

You were correct Mike, the Metro Boat Show was smaller this year and it didn't seem very busy for the duration of time that we attended.

Oh well, the brunch at MacRay Harbor on Sunday morning was good as always and it was a nice weekend to boat across the lake and back.
