Miami to Bimini by Jet Ski's

I think you should also mention that vid was taken and edited on your iphone 4 if I'm correct?. How did it work for you and not get wet?

I'm wanting to make this trip in my 290 Sundancer.I've just never been over.Short pull for me to the cut and then drop her in and go.I can hold 30-34mph at about 4k and be easy on her but she is only a single.

My buddy is(was) going friday but this storm has him second guessing that.

Do you need passports when you boat over and stay? I don't have one oddly enough. How about firearm's onboard? I have all the flag's on my boat as it has been a few times all the way from Tierra Verde.

$150 for small boats (under 30 I think), $300 over... you get a second entry free within 90 days.

yes, everyone needs a passport, firearms and ammo needs to declared, not worth the hassles, leave them home you don't need them.

and on the way back you have to call customs to clear before anyone gets off the boat, then go in person to immigration unless you have registered for the Local boater Option.

How do they get the 30' measurement? I have a 290 Sundancer but with the swimdeck and pulpit she is 34' easily.

Small boats are less the 35' in the Bahamas. A 29' Sundancer will fit in the small boat category.

What hassles? I've checked in 3 times now with firearms and never had an issue.

'Tis better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. At least that's my outlook on the subject :-)

4k rpm cruise on a single seems like running it pretty hard....maybe I baby my sh*t. Ever open your enging comparment at 4k rpm and hear what that sounds like?

Just be sure to plan on having enough fuel and range for having to go much slower than that. On our return last month we met a guy in West End who had just come over from FL on a 29' with twin Yamaha 250's on it. I'm pretty sure that boat will move. However, the trip over took him about 7 hours (I think that's what he said) as the conditions had his speed down to 6 knots for much of the trip.

On a related note, what the heck is up with north winds this time of year in the stream. Amazing.

Wicked storm blowing up from the south east.

I carry about 140gals.That better be enough.
