I'm thinking of switching to another marina next season. I have zero problems where I am now. If fact, I really like it. But, just thinking about someplace different. I cruised past Parkside on Saturday. Looks pretty nice.
Anyone have any comments? Good or bad?

Thanks,

We have friends with boats there and we visited them on a number of occasions.

Some pluses: Very clean. Ownership very friendly and helpful. Floating docks. Restaurant on site. (We've eaten there several times.) Owners offer several free events (food, entertainment) during the season. Good water (deep enough in and out for several large sailboats docked there. Driving distance not far off of Eastern Blvd. (A main thoroughfare in eastern Baltimore County).

Minuses - Single road into marina. The owner hosts events on attached property that can make leaving the area by car a bumper-to-bumper exit until you can get out to a main road (Bowley's Quarters Rd.) You have to pull your boat in the off-season and take it elsewhere for storage. (They don't store boats.) They are well within the 6 mph speed limit of Middle River. No pool.

Yup. I was there today. Docks are narrow and finger pier is only a half-pier. Alot of noise from next door event. Traffic in/out would be bad. Beautiful grounds and well kept though.
I'll stay where I am.

Thanks for your replies...

I am about to visit Maryland Marina to see about keeping a boat there. Seems like a nice facility and able to accommodate my "special" need - having a electric connection while keeping the boat on the hard. I prefer to store this boat on land when not in use, but will need to keep my batteries charged, since it will be an electric boat.

Any feedback about Maryland Marina?
