So the admiral and I are getting the itch again and have been casually looking around for another boat. This time we are actually going down in size and looking at something between 18 and 22 feet.
I've been surprised to see a few Stingray and other brand bowriders with 3.0 Merc I/O's. It seems to me that the boat would be pretty underpowered with that set up. Anybody have experience with a boat this size with 4 cyl power? I'm thinking 4.3 V6 as a minimum and preferably a 5.0 V8.
Anybody have other thoughts?
