I figured they would. That ascent rate is not that bad and he was only estimating the time in the mouth. Who knows. Sounds far fetched, but I would not rule it out based on that ascent rate

agree, almost a min. from 45' and we don't know how long he was at depth. I tend to believe his story simply because it is almost too strange to dream up.

Besides a whale once told me we humans taste like crap.

back when I dove, the rule was 60 ft per minute. Now it is 30 ft per minute

good that we don't taste good (at least to whales)
