Wow! I'm sort of glad we decided not to slip there. The entire place was under water. Those guys "walking" in the water to check on boats are either very brave or very stupid. I can't decide which. There is much debate on leaving shore power cables connected. From what I've seen and read, the consensus seems to be to leave them connected so that the bilge pumps will continue to run as needed because the batteries are fully charged. Refrigerators and such should be turned off because, if the shore power goes out, they switch to battery power and can kill batteries overnight. That's what I did with our boat; shore power connected, chargers on, refrigerator off. Hy
