I'm sure the captain was cautious and that high speed was not a factor.

Was that boat stolen or not?

Owner wasn't on it, wasn't sure who 'borrowed' his boat?

Something not right here.

What happened to the third engine, ripped off? Did they pull it out of the river?

the boat is in Haverstraw marina, on the north side, next to the launch ramp.

It will be on craigslist soon :-)

A Nigerian Prince just offered me $5 Million to recover the engine. He is sending me a money order for it, of which I will give half to the guy I will meet to deliver the engine.

Hmmmm, another good reason to stay on the dock...just think of the fuel money he'll save on downsizing to 2 engines, very grren of him. I guess that's one way to reduce your carbon footprint.

I heard from credible law enforcement sources that he did NOT have insurance. Oh well, there goes $400,000 down the drain...

I don't understand that. How could you spend that kind of money, on a boat that's bound to get damaged somehow at some point, and not have insurance. I guess you don't have to have brains to buy a boat.

That is very scary. Oh well, to Hell with the "boater". Was any damage done to the light? That's a pretty important aid
to navigation...

Always gives me that sinking feeling in my stomach to see accidents like that ins. or not , all i can say is it's good to hear
the kid didn't get killed or hurt anyone .
were all in the same boat ,so lets all be carefull out there
