Digging for clams can be hard work.

How do you deal with a border collie on the boat? My sister's border collier is one hyper, hyper dog!

Jeff

Jake loves the boat and the water. As a puppy we did professional training classes so he is a well behaved BC thou he still has those things that make his head explode!

We taught him the rules as far as entering the water from the boat, ONLY if he has his life jacket on OR his dog ramp is in the water. As a BC he hates when people leave the boat for example docking and undocking. He has learned that his place is inside the cabin during those times so when we go for the lines he heads for the cabin automatically.

I believe the key to keeping a BC under control is two fold, 1) you can NOT leave them home alone on a regular basis, they get bored and destructive and 2) they must have jobs. Jake collects sticks in the yard. Will get firewood, LOVES to rip out weeds although weeds and plants are sometimes mistaken and his all time favorite job is to open the bottle caps on empty water bottles. He LIVES for that!

He has over a 100 stuffed animal toys, most he knows by name and he understands compound commands like "go upstairs and get alligator"

I think the movie Rainman best describes Jake.

Here are some of how Kimmi spent her boating vacation:

Jake,
Looks like you had a good time!

I want that boat that has the car for a tender!!!!!

Looks pretty good to me.

John, you crack me up! Can you bring your dog over to the house, I have a lot of weeds that need to be pulled![:-banghead]

My dogs are 10-11 and very hairy, so have not taken them on the boat yet, but one of these days.

Riff...you never cease to amaze me! There's hope for New York.

Chris...blame Hogan and Rommer (Riff). They said I could drop in.

Speaking of Kimmi I'm pretty sure she and Jake shared a butt sniff at block...

Seemed appropriate to say after a Sibley post for some reason :)

Hey Rommer, in the sixth picture down, the guy in the black shorts, is that BOB?
It's hard to tell, I don't recognize him when he's not rolling on the floor.

He's been MIA and last reported, heading to Block Island in an open bow with an open beer.

Actually Chris thats our good friend Jonathan of Robyns Nest fame... We looked for Bob but couldn't find him. Thought for a second we saw someone rolling around in the fog but it does play tricks with your mind.
