My water pump fixed itself?

At the end of last season my fresh water pump (Par belt driven diaphragm pump) suddenly would not shut off. Pressure and flow seemed fine, but it would just keep running. I saw no leaks anywhere and the system held pressure with the pump manually switched off.

I went out today to do some diagnosis on it and figured I would first flush out the no-tox from the system. So of course I fill the tank and switch it on and it builds pressure and shuts off like it should. Did so several times as I ran water out of all the fixtures.

I'm wondering if some crud could have blocked the pressure switch? And it somehow went away or moved over the winter? I had done a bleach tank cleaning a few weeks before this happened so I guess some algae could have died and gotten in there.

Not sure what to make of it now.

Buy a new pressure switch, and have it at the ready.

something could have been blocking the pressure switch hole or maybe something got caugh in one of the diaphragm preventing the pump from building full pressure. That happened to me once on a Shurflo. They have 5 or 7 diaphragm and one of them couldn't close due to debris.
