Looks like I may be buying a new-to-me boat in North Carolina. Going to bring it home on water and wondered about suggestions for the best route. We want to take a week and enjoy the trip so was thinking of going the Intracoastal, but am not real excited about causing problems for myself. I've read that the Dismal Swamp Canal is grown over and shallow. Has anyone run the other canal into Norfolk? Can't think of the name of it.
Or should I just run outside into the Bay?
