I will check as well I may still have an old disk I may have recently tossed it but I feel like I came across it while searching for something else.

I got your email I will check the to software tomorrow I hope to have some time to do things around the house.

I spent some time today looking for the software and all I found was the older and newer programs I not the kind of guy that throws things away hence the older software from my old Magellan. I will keep looking again I never throw this sort of stuff away it has to be somewhere!

I just did a little research and remembered this software was an odd program you need to buy the program and register it to get one map zone for free then they sell each additional zone and frankly I'm not sure they even offer the additional zones?
I will keep looking for it I just not sure it will work for you. Are you sure you can't use the newer Homeport? This is a free program. Did you call Garmin they have a great tech support!

Yep, Garmin support are the ones who said homeport does not work. Don't go to too much trouble. I might find it on EBAY or some other place, plus Bob says he knows a guy who can recover the data. I'm manually entering data each time I go down to the boat. It's a slow process but it will get it done.

There is one for sale on amazon but again it is used and I remember there being something about registering the software and getting one free map zone. If the software is used I don't thing your will get a map included and not sure they still offer the maps for this software at this point?

thanks for trying to help. lucky our paper log book was kept up to date. nothing went into the unit that was not entered into the log. no lost numbers...

I haven't given up looking I think it will turn up like I said I just don't throw things away it's one of my wife's biggest complaints!

I just spent some time loading this program and it seems to be the full program it also allowed me to load maps but I didn't have time to download then now. I think this will work for you. I also emailed you a link to the manual. You will need to read up on how connect your GPS to the computer or to save the GPS info onto the card then transfer the info to your computer using the card reader. Years ago when I had my last boat with the older GPS unit I had ran a serial cable into my cabin so that I could update routes while inside my boat.

A BIG thanks Dave. I worked on tractor uesterday 'cause I need to get some bush hoggin' done over the next couple of days. I had let things go a little longer dat normal
so I'm a bit behind. I had kind of put this data thing off until cold weather, but with Bill sending me the reader and you finding this y'all have motivated me to get back on it.
You guys are the best. Thanks

Let me know if you get it working I'm not sure how you are going to load maps? You may need to call Garmin for help.

Will do, and thanks again. I'm not sure when I'll make it back down to the boat.

I mailed the chip reader yesterday. I'll send you the tracking number and the cost later, the receipt is out in the car. I sent it the cheapest way, so it may be a few days.

I've been following this Bill and looks like you may have it resolved. However, if it doesn't pan out just let me know if you'd like to try my local guy.
