I need to replace the window curtains and the rear curtain that pulls across my sliding door in the back. I have a 1085 Carver 3227. Is custom made the best way to go or is there somewhere to buy them already made?

I am in a similar position. I sent a photograph of the plastic piece that runs in the door frame groove and the (formerly) elastic strap that connects it to the curtain with dimensions. My Carver dealer replied that they could replace the plastic bit only and not the elastic straps. Maybe those are generic. Admiral is trying to locate someone to custom make them.

If you are talking about the plastic tabs to connect the curtain to the aluminum track, Camperworld carries them. If you want them already attached to the bonding that can be sewed to the fabric, most good canvas fabricators use them or know where to get them. Oldmariner, when my sliding door curtain got really bad, I removed it and had a black sunbrella cover fabricated for the outside of the sliding door with a roll up panel where the door open in the middle. Eliminates light completely when its down along with more privacy, keeps the sun's heat out of the cabin.

I have just replace the curtains in my 30' Aft cabin. The Plastic tabs and rollers were all available from CamperWorld. The elastic is just what the seamstress had but she treated the fabric with a UV inhibitor. I got the fabric from local discount fabric supplier. The only problem we had is that every fabric we liked there was not enough fabric to make all of the curtains. We had to compromise on this fabric because there was enough to make all of the curtains. As a side note it took 30 SQ YD's of fabric to complete all of the curtains.

They look great! What was your total cost?

As difficult as it seems we took the old curtains and cut new ones for the Carver 2767 my wife and her girlfriend did over the winter some knowledge of sewing but no were near pro;s they came out excellent the material we bought at a wholsale fabic shop in canada calledFabric land you must have a wholsale out let near you of some sorts
I then put a ventietan blind in the rear window saved money looks better and keeps out the light in the morning while sleeping

The seamstress charged $700, the fabric was about $90 with the backing material. We replaced all of the curtains so there was a lot of work for the seamstress.

CMariner32,

I like the canvas idea and will mention to the Admiral/Project Manager. She is having trouble finding someone to even quote the seamstress job!

TOM, ARE U GOING TO CHANGE THE COUCH CUSHIONS?MINE ARE FADDED.IM INTRESTED IN REPLACING THEM.I ALL SO DO NOT HAVE CUSHIONS FOR THE TABLE WHEN USED FOR BED.WHERE DO U EVEN STORE THEM?

I also need the plastic tabs that hook into the channels. I went onto the web searching for CAMPERWORLD but only a resort came up. Did you mean "CAMPINGworld"? Even on Campingworld I could not find the tabs.

Can you give point me to a website?
Don

marykhubby,
My wife just ordered 300 drape carriers to do new curtains for our 3007 Aft Cabin and I am looking at the Camping World invoice and they give a toll free number at 877.844.5080,,,The tab style is listed as #7 and item number is 14769,,,I don't see a web site address on the invoice but the business is located in Franklin, KY. Hope this will be of some help.

BAYRATBH,

My wife had the dinette cushions replaced with Sunbrella over foam. She made templates of the surface under the cushions as well as taking the old cushions to the upholsterer. He didn't round the corners of the seat cushions closest to the aisle as much as the originals but otherwise they turned out quite nicely. We never use the cushions that convert the dinette into a bed. We replaced them, but we store them at our house (not much help). The previous owner left them against the wall in the stateroom above the upholstered rail that runs around a little above the mattress.
